End of Year Review: 2011
Format stolen from musyc, because it's an awesome format!
Looking back, did you write more fics than you thought you would this year, less than you thought, or about what you predicted?
Hahahhahahahahhahaaha-*gasp*-hahahhahaahhaahhaha. I had no plans on writing fanfiction at the beginning of the year. I'd actually never written fanfiction (beyond a few scraps and the rare one-shot from a few years ago) intensively before. I certainly didn't expect to get to almost 40k on my first run out of the gate, so to speak, with the Deflower Draco fest. kink_bingo fiction earlier, in June, they weren't - and still aren't - polished and posted, so they aren't complete in the way that the Deflower Draco fics are to me.
What pairing/genre/fandom did you write that you would never have predicted in January 2011?
One that I can't talk about, because Kinky Kristmas reveals haven't occurred yet! Also, Draco/Hermione, because I haven't been in Potter fandom for years. Pretty much you could put down *write Harry Potter fanfiction* as my 'never would have predicted' answer.
What's your favorite story this year? Not the most popular, but the one that makes you the happiest?
Hmm, probably The Days That Lie Ahead. I never thought that I could pull off something that dark and have it be both full of angst and cathartic. Although, in general, I'd say that my ones from Kink Bingo and the Deflower Draco fest are also up there as well.

Amateur Cartography. Most favorites, most comments, most views. For a while it looked like On the Perils of Free Advice was going to be number two, but it looks like Out of Order is going to claim that spot.
Story that could have been better?
Three Turns Through Darkness and the unrevealed story from Kinky Kristmas. I just wish that I'd had more *time* on both of 'em, which was a scheduling error on my part. I'd rather not do that again. I might actually re-write the Kinky Kristmas fic, since there was so much more that I wanted to do with it.
Sexiest story?
On the Perils of Free Advice! Porn, porn, let's talk about porn at a meta-level, let's watch someone's fantasies, let's make sex funny and friendly and hot. Still <3 that fic!
Most fun story?
Hm. From the perspective of 'for me to write', probably anything that has Draco having a melt-down over his feelings for Hermione. So, a tie with On the Perils of Free Advice and Out of Order.
Story with single sweetest moment?
Not sure! It's either the snuggling in Lost and Presumed Destroyed, the confession in Out of Order or some of the snippits in Amateur Cartography.
The story that made you cry?
The Days that Lie Ahead. I've seen comments on tumblr that this made people wail, and don't worry; it made me cry too.
Hardest story to write?
Urgh, time cruch galore on Three Turns Through Darkness and the Kinky Kristmas fic. From a technical standpoint, probably Amateur Cartography, A Shadowed Land and Out of Order, because all three of them needed deep revisions, re-ordering and sorting out of character arcs. (Shout out to my awesome betas!)
Easiest story to write?
On the Perils of Free Advice: Stuck on a plot point? Make Draco do something embarassing. :D
"Holy crap, that's wrong even for you" fic:
The Days that Lie Ahead: Let's push a character to his breaking point, keep his undead girlfriend in his cellar, and have him live in utter denial!
Favorite line:
Probably biased, because it's recent, but I loved this one from Out of Order: He looked at her sternly. “No mittens until morning. I won't let you use me for my mittens, Granger.”
Love the idea of Hermione taking Draco for a ride for his mittens. XD

In retrospect, they were 'don't default on anything,' which I didn't achieve. I had to default on my Dramione Remix; it just wasn't happening. Other than that, I didn't default on anything else that I signed-up for and which was due in 2011.
